John Bacon is a founding partner of Bacon Flaherty, LLC and manages the firm’s business law practice group, its outside general counsel service offerings and its mediation and arbitration practice. He possesses 23 years of experience in providing legal counsel to hundreds of entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes and at all stages of maturity with an emphasis on following industries: information technology, health care, construction, hospitality (restaurant) and real estate. He has represented dozens of successful companies and served as outside general counsel to a host of companies, including a U.S. subsidiary of a Global 100 Technology Company. He is experienced and skilled in entity formation (corporations, LLCs, LLPs and non-profits), contracts, licensing, employment matters, intellectual property, commercial leasing, strategic alliances, secured transactions, mergers, acquisitions, shareholder agreements, partnership agreements and all aspects of business litigation and general civil litigation trying cases in all MA and RI state and federal courts. His prior career as General Counsel and Chief Administration Officer to a multinational Global 100 Company provides him with broad experience and knowledge in business, law and strategic transactions.

John Bacon is a trained and certified Mediator who is often asked to mediate internal business conflicts by meeting with all of the interested parties and creating a trusted environment within the company enabling the efficient resolution of conflicts and avoiding costly, time-consuming and painful business disruption.

John Bacon graduated from Northeastern University College of Business, Highest Honors (Finance Concentration) in 1984 and Suffolk University School of Law, Cum Laude in 1987. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island and has appeared in Courts in New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Illinois.
